National Target 7: By 2020, pollutants including those from excess nutrients are controlled and their harm has been brought to levels that are not detrimental to ecosystem function and biodiversity.

Rwanda

Pollution of water bodies (rivers, lakes, wetlands) has been identified as a big problem which has  adverse impacts on fisheries and other types of  aquatic biodiversity. In addition, pollution compromises the goal of providing clean and safe water to the country’s growing population (NBSAP, 2016).
