The NBAP reiterates Ireland’s Vision for Biodiversity: that in the future “biodiversity and ecosystems in Ireland are conserved and restored, delivering benefits essential for all sectors of society and that Ireland contributes to efforts to halt the loss of biodiversity and the degradation of ecosystems in the EU and globally”. The Plan includes a series of targeted actions relating to a wide range of Government Departments and agencies. It retains the framework of the seven strategic objectives from the previous plan and, through updated and additional actions, builds on the momentum of the first two Plans and continues progress towards Ireland’s Vision for Biodiversity.
