The Third National Report to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity

This report was established in September 2009 by the Ministry of Labour, Technological Development and Environment (ATM). This 154 page document was prepared by the Environmental Service and Report (ESS) with support of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP). The edit was done by the aforementioned Ministry and the National Biodiversity Steering Committee. The following are the focal themes that were identified by ATM for 3NR: • general state of / trends in biodiversity • national biodiversity policy • in-situ-conservation • research and EIA • education and awareness • agriculture and forestry
